Like many other Americans, I too have found myself suffering from what has been diagnosed as a "Tramatic Brain Injury. My story, however; is still unfolding. The extent of my injuries is still unknown to the medical professionals who are caring for me. What I do know is my life has been dramatically changed forever. My cognitive function has been disrupted, my bladder functions and sexual functions are altered and to make matters worse; I am now suffering from clinical depression. This does not take into consideration all the neurological malfunction--for example pain in my hands and chemicals not being produced in my body in a normal fashion. My doctor is checking on adrenal gland functions and whatever else he told me. My mind is somewhat like that of a child. Attention span is short and memory almost nonexistent....How will I ever finish my degree at the university? I invite responses at my e-mail address :
