I am sorry to learn of your illness. I,too have bipolar disorder. For 5 years my illness was controlled with Wellbutrin, Anafranil, and Ambien. After a manic spell last Dec. I began to take Depakote. In 199l my depression was so severe my doctor initiated the steps required for Social Security Disability Benefits. I was a professional helper then. Now I volunteer my services. I am open about my illness and have been accepted by my friends, church, and community. I decided to write so that others might know bipolar disorder can be managed with drug therapy as well as counselling. I hope to hear from others.
